- Both the source account and the receiving target account must be active, identity-verified Google Play Console accounts.
- To receive an app transfer, you only need two non-sensitive identifiers: your 19-digit Developer Account ID and your $25 registration Transaction ID (or new Play Console verification code).
- You never share your Google password or grant admin access to receive a transfer.
- Once the transfer request is dispatched on PlayGate, you accept it in Play Console → Settings → App transfers within 24 hours.
1. How to Locate Your 19-Digit Google Play Developer ID
When you sign in to Google Play Console (play.google.com/console), look at the URL bar in your browser. Immediately after '/developers/', you will see a 19-digit number (for example: 7482910394857162534).
That 19-digit number is your public Developer Account ID. You can also find it under Play Console → Account details. When submitting Step 1 on PlayGate, paste this exact 19-digit integer so we know where to route your approved app.
2. How to Find Your Registration Transaction ID or Verification Code
Google requires the sending account to input the receiving account's registration Transaction ID (or new Play Console verification code) to prove both parties consented to the transfer.
Open the Gmail inbox of the Google account that paid the $25 Play Console registration fee and search for 'developer registration fee' or 'Google Play Developer'. Your Transaction ID typically looks like PDS.1234-5678-9012-34567 or 01234567890123456789.token.0123456789012345.
For newer Play Console accounts, Google also sends an email titled 'Your new Play Console account verification code'—either identifier works seamlessly.
3. Why Initial Transfer Builds Should Not Include Ad SDKs
When an app is transferred between Google Play accounts, active AdMob or third-party ad network bindings can delay transfer eligibility or trigger ad-policy verification holds during initial review.
For the fastest 2–5 day approval and instant transfer clearance, compile your initial v1.0 .aab without ad SDKs. The moment you accept the transfer into your own Play Console, you can push v1.1 with AdMob, AppLovin, or Unity Ads enabled.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to give PlayGate access to my Google account to receive a transfer?
Never. Google Play's official App Transfer workflow only uses your 19-digit Developer ID and registration Transaction ID. You accept the incoming transfer directly inside your own Play Console.
What happens if I don't have a verified target account yet?
You can select our '+$100/week Keep App Live on Our Developer Account' add-on on Step 1. We will publish and host the app live on our console until your own account is verified.
